January 20 - Steele will be open 10am-6pm; other CCLD libraries are closed.

Food for Fines: Last day is January 2

Happy Hogmanay

In the spirit of the Scottish tradition of Hogmanay, the Chemung County Library District will be accepting food for fines until January 2, 2020. Overdue fees up to $20 will be forgiven ($5 per non-perishable food item). Lost or damaged items and collection fees are excluded.

Technology Training at CCLD Libraries

Tech Training Lab

All classes are free and registration is required. To register for Steele classes call 733-9175; for Horseheads classes call 739-4581; for Van Etten classes call 589-4755 x3. All Steele classes take place in the Technology Training Lab.

Tinker Lab Holiday Hours
The Tinker Lab will be closed from 12:00pm to 4:00pm on January 2 but will be open 4:00pm to 7:30pm.

Tinker Lab Closings
The Tinker Lab will be closed January 1, 3, 4, and 20.

Laser Certifications
Certification for use of CCLD Makerspace's laser cutter and engraver is now available.

Appointments for certification can be made using the online reservation calendar at:

ccldmakerspace.youcanbook.me

Please place "Certification" in the Project Summary field on the reservation form.

CrochetWe are happy to announce that we have received a Community Arts Grant for 2020 to fund a series of art workshops each month with local artists Wynn Yarrow and Filomena Jack. Call the library now to sign up for any of this year's classes: (607) 733-9175. This month we are offering an air-dried clay class with Wynn (1/9, 6:30pm) and a crocheting class with Filomena (1/4, 2pm).

This project is made possible, in part, with public funds from NYSCA’s Decentralization Program, administered regionally by The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.

It's time for another movie and popcorn night! This month's fun feature is  "Abominable"! A teen and her friends must outwit some evil villains in order to take a lost Yeti home, in this animated family comedy. Enjoy this fun family movie as you snuggle up with your blankets & pillows! As always, popcorn will be served. The best movies and the best popcorn are at the Big Flats Library.
