CCLD Makerspace News
We would like to thank our donors and volunteers for their continued support in our effort to provide personal protective equipment for our local healthcare workers.
Thanks to generous donations from local businesses and individuals and countless volunteer hours, more than 4,000 foam and Velcro face shields have been produced. In addition to accomplishing our goal of supplying protective equipment for local hospitals, we have been able to provide for local pharmacies, ambulance services, police departments, nursing homes, funeral homes, and a host of other frontline workers. In partnership with Southern Tier PPE, we are producing 3D printed face shields to generate a surplus of equipment in preparation for another outbreak.
We are also currently looking for volunteers to assist in the manufacturing of masks and gowns for the local hospitals. Anyone interested in helping by cutting patterns or sewing should fill out our volunteer form at ccld.lib.ny.us/volunteer-to-make-ppe.
Thanks again to the wonderful people who have made this possible! Your kindness has made an enormous impact on our community.
