Curbside Pickup Service

Due to the current COVID-19 orange zone in Chemung County, all CCLD libraries have returned to curbside-only service. Please call your local library to make arrangements to pick up your materials. We will remain curbside-only until we are downgraded to a yellow zone. Visit our website for more information about curbside pickup.

Library Services at Home

hoopla - tap into discovery. Instantly read, listen, and watch with your library card.

CCLD cardholders now have access to hoopla! Borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics, and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV! With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. CCLD cardholders can borrow 4 titles each month. Go to hoopladigital.com to create an account and start borrowing.

Mobile Wi-Fi Hotspots are available to check out from Steele Memorial Library for those in need of internet access at home. Call 733-9175 to check one out today (as of December, there is currently little to no wait to receive a hotspot). *You need to live in an area with cell phone reception in order for the hotspot to work at your house.*

Remote Genealogy ResearchDue to COVID constraints, the Genealogy department at Steele Memorial Library has temporarily waived its remote research fees. Email edesk@stls.org with your contact information and genealogy question.

Enjoy ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, streaming video, online classes, language learning, and more, from the convenience of your home! Check out the library's Featured Services page for a list of digital services that can be accessed remotely with your Chemung County Library District card.
