September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when Chemung County Library District joins the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide to remind parents, caregivers, and students that signing up for a library card is the first step on the path to academic achievement and lifelong learning.
During September, the Chemung County Library District will host Library Card Sign-up activities: Visit any Chemung County Library branch during the month of September and earn one entry for our grand prize every time you check out. Also, new this year, CCLD will be partnering with local businesses to encourage the community to get their library card. Visit any of the participating businesses and show your library card for a special discount just for library users. For more information and a complete list of businesses, visit our website, FB page, or stop by your local CCLD branch.
