Holiday Closing

All CCLD libraries will be closed on July 4.

Summer Reading Club

Summer Reading Club is the perfect time for all ages to see what their local library has to offer! The 2022 summer reading slogan is "Oceans of Possibilities" and we are planning many fun programs and events around this theme. There will be special events, reading challenges, fun activities, and more throughout the summer months through August 5th. Call or stop by your local library for specific program details.

Telehealth Kit for Checkout

Chemung County Library District now has a Telehealth Kit available for patrons to borrow through a pilot program implemented by the South Central Regional Library Council. This program is funded through a grant awarded to the SCRLC from the Network of the National Library of Medicine.

The Telehealth Kit is intended for virtual visits with health care providers, as well as with therapists and support groups. The Telehealth Kit comes complete with a Chromebook, a headset, a Hotspot that provides Internet access, and Medlineplus.gov brochures for guidance to reliable health care information. The Kit will have a 7-day circulation with one renewal. Please call the Steele Memorial Library Adult Services Desk (607)733-9175 for more information or to place a hold on the kit.

Now's the time to think - seeds!

Now is the perfect time to think about planting. Our Seed Lending Library is ready to browse any time we are open, so check it out!

Seed Lending is easy; visit our seed collection at Steele Memorial Library, check out the seeds that interest you, and bring back seeds you harvest in the fall!

Come visit the Reference Desk on the second floor at the Steele Library for more information and, to check out some seeds!
