Library hours at Steele Memorial Library and Horseheads Free Library will be changing in 2024. Steele will be open M-Th 9-8pm, F 9-5pm, Sa 1-5pm; Horseheads will be open M-W 9-8pm, Th 9-6pm, F 9-5pm, Sa 1-5pm. These hours will be the same, year-round.

Technology Training at CCLD Libraries
One-on-one basic computer/device instruction is available. Let us know what you'd like to learn! Contact Steele Memorial Library (607-733-9173) or Horseheads Free Library (607-739-4581) to schedule an appointment with one of our librarians.
CCLD Makerspace
Learn new skills this year at CCLD Makerspace. Classes are available by request covering a variety of topics including 3D printing, laser engraving, video editing and more.

Steele Memorial Library
The Steele Seed Lending Library is on winter hiatus. Is there nothing to take its place? Yes! Starting in January, try out our new Tea Library! We will provide unexpired, unopened, individually wrapped tea bags, with ingredients clearly listed for you to try at home. Stop by the 2nd floor desk at Steele!
The Library of Things at Steele has acquired several tools to help with home fixes. We have a rubber mallet, vice grips, tape measure, straight edge, stud finder, and a level. Each can be borrowed for two weeks with one renewal. Keep us in mind when doing small home improvements!

Activities for Teens
7th-12th graders can hang out any time the library is open, in the teen space at Steele Library. Read, draw, do crafts, have snacks, play video games, board games, watch TV, or just chill with friends. Don't have a library card? No problem. We can get you one. You don't need a card to hang out in the space. You just have to be in 7th-12th grade.

Horseheads Free Library
The Friends of Horseheads Free Library would like to invite our younger patrons to receive a free children's book when they check out a library book. This book giveaway will start in the beginning of January, while supplies last.

Are you an aspiring writer? Join our Adult Writer's group, as we gather to discuss and delve into our shared passion for writing and all things literary. The group will meet on January 29, 6pm.
