Library hours at Steele Memorial Library and Horseheads Free Library have changed for 2024. Steele is open M-Th 9-8pm, F 9-5pm, Sa 1-5pm; Horseheads will be open M-W 9-8pm, Th 9-6pm, F 9-5pm, Sa 1-5pm. These hours will be the same, year-round.
Holiday Hours
February 19 - Steele will be open 10-6pm; other branches will be closed.
Patron Appreciation Week - We Love our Library Users!
Because we appreciate our loyal patrons, we are setting aside a special time during the week of February 12-17, 2024 to thank you. One lucky library user will win a Library Lovers Prize at each CCLD location. Visit your favorite library, or all of them, for a chance to win!
Friends Books Sandwiched In - Winter 2024
Books Sandwiched In will take place: March 1, 8, 15, 22, 12pm at Steele Memorial Library. Visit ccld.lib.ny.us/friends-of-ccld, to learn more about Friends of CCLD and view the speaker schedule.
Technology Training at CCLD Libraries
One-on-one basic computer/device instruction is available. Let us know what you'd like to learn! Contact Steele Memorial Library (607-733-9173) or Hoseheads Free Library (607-739-4581) to schedule an appointment with one of our librarians.
Volunteer Tech Help is now available on Fridays at 1:15pm. Call to make an appointment with volunteer Steven, for help with your device! Steven is also able to help with assistive tech for the visually impaired (can recommend apps and services). Call 607-733-9173 (option 4) to reserve a spot.
Tablet Talk is back at Horseheads and Steele libraries! Learn to use your tablet or smartphone, in a small group setting.

Adjustment to Tinker Lab Hours
Until further notice, the Tinker Lab will be closed on Saturdays. Regular operating hours throughout the rest of the week will remain unchanged.

LEGO Club returns to Steele Memorial! Beginning Wednesday, February 7, 3:30-4:30pm! Large Meeting Room. For grades K-6. First & Third Wednesdays of the Month. (Feb. 7 & 21). Join Mr. Cameron in the large room to create together! LEGO builds will be on display in the children’s section until the next meeting. Please do not bring LEGO from home.

Our book club meets the 2nd Friday of the month at Bulkhead Hardware in Southport at 1:30pm. For the month of January we read "That Kind of Mother" by Rumaan Alam to discuss on February 9th at 1:30pm. We will read "Silent Patient" by Alex Michaelide to discuss in March.
Horseheads Free Library
February 1-13 All Ages! With every checkout, fill out an entry to win the Library Lovers prize. For an extra entry, take our library trivia quiz!
