Holiday Hours

November 11 - Steele Memorial Library will be open 10-6pm (other CCLD branches will be closed for Veterans Day).

November 22 - All CCLD locations will be closed for staff Continuing Education Day.

November 28-29 - All CCLD locations will be closed for Thanksgiving.

Friends Books Sandwiched In

The Fall Friends of CCLD Books Sandwiched In series continues this month! Reviews will take place on November 1, November 8, and November 15, at 12pm in the large meeting room at Steele Memorial Library. Volunteer Tech Help is available on Fridays at 1:15pm at Steele. Call to make an appointment with volunteer Steven, for help with your device! Steven is also able to help with assistive tech for the visually impaired (can recommend apps and services). Call 607-733-9173 (option 4) to reserve a spot.

On November 29th, look for the Bookmobile in the Elmira Downtown parade!

Our book club meets the 2nd Friday of the month at Bulkhead Hardware in Southport at 1:30pm. For the month of October, we read "Gap Creek" by Robert Morgan to discuss on November 8th, 1:30pm. This month we will read "Back Roads" by Tawni O'Dell, to discuss on December 13th.

November 21, 3:30pm-5:30pm - Tween/Teen D&D One-shots with Daniel Bush. This group is for beginners-mid level players that want to have fun with character play and game mechanics. There are 2 more One-shot events planned in November and December. Adventurers sign up today!

Activities for Youth

Courtesy of the Friends of Horseheads Free Library, children will be invited to choose one free book, provided by Friends funds, when they check out a book. The books range from board books for toddlers to several levels of chapter books. This will start on Saturday, November 23. Look for the big yellow crate!

This month's take 'n make is a Turkey Trouble craft. The kits will be available all month long.  Do you want to stuff a turkey?  Not a real turkey, but a stuffed animal turkey.  Join us for the Butterball Turkey Workshop! Registration is required and space is limited.

All Month - 4th Annual Dress the Turkey Art Contest; stop in and grab your turkey entry form, dress it up, and return to be displayed in the Van Etten Turkey Wall of fame! Each turkey submitted will receive one entry for a gift card prize. All Ages Welcome!
